Well, figured I might as well start my personal blog-type thread. Forum's been up for a day or so now, but no one's really used it yet... Iris hasn't been online (I'm guessing), Connie hasn't looked at it/isn't interested, and neither Sunny or Sydney have answered my messages on Tumblr about it.

I go through the trouble of making the damn thing and no one uses it! WELL:

Got a text from Mum right before getting into my car for class this morning: "Our oldest cat has bad fluid in her stomach and will have to be put down =-) "

Me: D8 The fuck?? Smiley face what???

Me: ....WELL THANKS MY MORNING IS GOING TO BE SO WONDERFUL NOW.

We've known for a while that this cat is really getting up there, and hasn't been in the best of health--we contemplated putting her down a few months back but the vet said she was fine--so it's not like this is a surprise. It's just..never fun when you have to put a pet down, no matter the age or circumstances.

Yeah, talking about Sadie. She's around 14 years old, and she's had trouble with her diet for the last few months.

Also, because I want to share the inspiration for the title of my thread:

Yeah, from what Mom's told me, this is better for her.

So I stopped by work and checked the schedule--they've got me down for this Sunday, next Wednesday and Saturday. Cue immediate anxiety about the thought of going back to work, and the fear that I'll have forgotten everything/fuck it all up.

In other news, though, I bought a big stuffed otter at Good Will and want to name him Ben 8D

Eeeeh thanks. I probably will ask for a refresher on some things--everyone there is very helpful to new people--but they kind of go "ok here's where you'll be so good luck", and then walk away without explaining everything. For example, I have no idea where to "check in" for my first real shift, so I'm gonna get there early enough to ask around. As for the schedule, I'm just gonna check every day that I go in to make sure it's still the same, or to write down any changes.

Sitting in Chinese History, feeling very ready for the weekend. Gonna sleep in tomorrow, laze about and probably watch some movies or QI.

QI's kind of been my saving grace lately (haha, it's funny 'cause that's my name and this pun is lame)--I've been in an awful funk for the last week or so, and QI's one of the few things that can comfort me. I play it in the background while I browse online, while I wander around my room, and the other night I fell asleep to it. I've been anxious, nervous, unhappy--QI can still make me laugh and not feel like everything's worthless for a while.

Birthday's in a week. Not sure what I want, or what to do for it. I'll be in class that day, though Grandma says she'll take me out for lunch before my night class. I keep trying to think of things to say I want for my birthday, since my mum asked. So far I've come up with a tablet/Kindle Fire, an iPod Touch, and the GoT books. I'm guessing my parents would have no problem with the books, but they'll pause when I mention the gadgets...

I did ask, but I guess Mum was at rehearsal when I sent the text, so all she said was "ok".

It's a little better today--I got up earlier than usual, wandered out and started a 1000 piece puzzle (which always calms me down, idk i love puzzles), and played some WoW. Still freaked out a little here and there, whenever work or jobs were mentioned. I'm getting a bit more comfortable, though, with the idea of going back and trying to remember everything I need to.

I hate when I freak out, too; I get jumpy and feel like my heart's going to explode--or like I'm gonna puke every other minute.

Amen to getting out of town--I work the Saturday after my birthday until 2:30pm, so we can either try to do something that Friday, or on Saturday after I get off work.

Would you get paid before then?

I don't wannnaaaaaaaaa go to work tomorrow. Someone else go do it for me. I'll wait here.

Shhh. I was called in today when I thought it would be my day-off. My sleeping in was interrupted!

But yeah, the hours really aren't that bad. They go by pretty quickly, and the money will be very nice.

The pressure from my parents/grandparents pretty much evaporated once I got the job. Parents are happy that I'm making money, grandparents are happy I'm not always around the house when I'm not in class.
